This is how Pacifists fight wars.

Repeat after me.

“If you are not going to be nice, then I am not going to play with you.”

Again.

“If you are not going to be nice, then I am not going to play with you.”

I have started to do this and I invite you to do the same.

I openly tell Salesmen and Businesses, “If you are not going to be nice, then I am not going to play with you.”

I begin B2B Business Conversations with “What are your Ethics?”

And if they cannot spell them out, then we do not do business.

I make them SAY their Ethics.

 

I have had them argue, “Well if you would just…”

“If you are not Ethical, then we have nothing to say.”

Ethics First.

Humanity Second.

Business Third.

 

And only then, it has to be a Win-Win-Win for Me, You, AND our Patrons… Or we have nothing to discuss.
