Good morning my people!
Happy Sunday!!
Here is the “Ethical To Do List” for Courage for those who wish to read deeper.
Courage to be Arrogant. That is today’s topic.
Go with it. Stay with me.
Arrogance is a very difficult concept. Ethical people grow up TERRIFIED of “Arrogance” because many of us think that Arrogance means harming others with our own egos. As if Self-Esteem somehow crushes others. And this just is not true.
I believe that the reason Arrogance is frowned on is because many abusers who seek “The Upper Hand” ensure they keep “The Upper Hand” by keeping everyone else SMALL. And as a result, people gorge themselves on Humility and avoid Arrogance to the detriment of Self-Esteem. And then a person becomes so averse to ANY kind of Confidence or Positive Self-Esteem that that little touch of Pride FEELS like Arrogance.
An aversion to Arrogance can lead to suicide. In fact, mine did. Many times. I was so averse to Arrogance, that I destroyed all Pride along with it and Self-Esteem. I was humbled to the point of Despair and worthlessness.
To overcome my fear of Arrogance, I purposely indulged in it a few months ago. It was HARD. I felt like I was going to hurt someone… but I didn’t. I just gained Self-Value and Self-Love from it. And, after a few months, I did learn to appreciate the preservation of others and Compassion. That is when my Arrogance turned down to a palatable volume… I realized, very recently, that true Authority and Power comes with an awareness that Leaders lead from the bottom.
That the more Powerful one is, the lower they sit so as to preserve others and also, to elevate the most shy and meek.
And this, this is where I spend all of my time now. At the bottom **warm fuzzy smiles** happily sitting under everyone else, serving all others.
But this lesson is what is on the other side of Arrogance. Even Arrogance has its purpose.
I believe that abusive people use a Fear of Arrogance to control others and “keep them in their place.”
It astounds me how much the concept of Arrogance always came up, not around good, ethical people, but around Narcissists and Abusers. It was as if They (Abusers and Narcissists) invented the word to use solely to abuse others and “Shrink” them down.
So when I have a topic I wish to discuss, sometimes, it’s hard for me to discuss it while I “tip toe” around Arrogance. Sometimes, I tip toe so much that I fail to even communicate the point, and this… This is the most egregious behavior because the true loss in this case is learning, education, and personal growth. And, above all else, learning, education, and personal growth must be preserved.
So… in the name of Personal Growth, there are times when we all must embrace Arrogance while we communicate the true point of our message and expand ourselves out to see who it is we really are.
How do I “shrink myself” back down after I indulge in arrogance?
Compassion and Consensual Service to others. I call this “Consensual Slavery” because I am giving up my freedom of choosing to “not serve.” For me, choosing to not serve is not a choice or an option, thus, I am not “free.” I have chosen to not be free to not choose.
The wording on this one is quite loopy. Let’s try this again. I have eliminated my Choice of “not serving.” Thus… I am a Consensual Slave to all others.
This is ADVANCED Ethics (The 31st Level of Consciousness… Learn more about The Levels of Consciousness here). It is a Mindset many people are not ready for. One has to master confidence, power, self-control, self-preservation, forgiveness, and boundaries first and prior to stepping into this mindset, but let me tell you, the reward is… Pure happiness and gratitude and love that just boils up inside of you 24/7 with true love for every single person in this world.
To pull off the Ethic of Consensual Slavery, one has to have a SOLID foundation of Self Love, Community Love, and Integrated Love first. Highly complex. Highly rewarding.
