“Everyone hates me,” Anger says as he clunks around in armor and takes a seat beside Identity. “I’m just the messenger, but everyone just throws me out and puts me in the Dungeons. No one sees beyond Aggression and Violence to even notice that I’m just the messenger.”
Identity hugs Anger. “I love you. I appreciate what you do for me. Without you, I would be ripped apart and abused.”
“Yes, but…”
“Sorry to interrupt again, Anger,” says Subconscious Mind. “I need you to get this message back down to Ego. Our Father is gaslighting us again and telling us that we need to get a job instead of pursuing our dreams and is trying to rename Identity again.”
“They won’t listen,” Anger says. “Ego never listens.”
“Yep,” Subconscious Mind says, passing the paper to Anger. “Do your best.”
Identity plants a kiss to Anger’s forehead. “I know you love me,” she whispers.
Anger releases a sigh and stands, “Yeah… I hate the fucking dungeons where they throw me.”
