“I feel X. I need to do Y.”

I feel Startled. I need to turn off my Fear System and use the 1st Ethic and use Self-Safety. 

People think “Startled” is PTSD.

It is not.

This is a temporary state where your RAS is still scanning for danger. You need to self-soothe with Self-Safety. The mission is to turn off your RAS. 

Try, “You are safe. You are calm. You are relaxed.”

Nature or a bath is highly effective for this.
