1st Person Point of View is the Insider Point of View.
First Person Point of View is the Close-Minded “Blinder” Point of View. It is One-Dimensional. You only see Your Point and are closed to all others.
This is where Prejudice is nourished. This is the point of Disintegration where The Self devours The Self because Growth has reversed to the point of Consumption.
3rd Person Point of View is the Outsider Point of View. Without the 3rd Person Point of View, The 1st Person Point of View will consume itself.
We all begin with 1st Person Point of View. The Disciplines introduce us to 3rd Person Point of View and trains the Mind to Open and experience the Disciplines as an Outsider before we Journey into the Inside.
Then we get 2nd Person Point of View, which opens our Mind.
We can move up. We can move down. We can remain at Eye-Level.
Let’s look at Physics. We have Micro-Physics, Meta-Physics, and Macro-Physics.
Micro-Physics is called Quantum Physics and we look at Atoms and Particles up real close. It requires a Scientific Microscope.
Meta-Physics is the “naked eye-level” Physics. It is the Physics we experience in the Self from day to day with just our Perspective Scope.
Macro-Physics is Astrophysics and requires the Webb or Hubble Telescope to see the Greatest of Pictures : Space.
This is the “Zoom” on your Lens. Close and Far. It is a spectrum.
But we can be Under the table, At the table, or On the table.
We can be at Ground Level, Eye Level, or Tree Level.
We can be on the Moon looking down at the Earth. We can be inside a Volcano at the Center of the Earth. Jules Verne mastered the Science of Word and Perspective. From the Earth to The Moon and Journey to The Center of the Earth then 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
Every Artist needs to read Jules Verne to experience the wide range of Points of View.
Imagine a single Point. You have 360 degrees of varying possibilities all relative to the Point.
But also, you can be zoom in close to the Point or far away.
The Philosopher steps into the lesson and says, “Collect as many Points of Views as you can in this life. And then Master the Skill of Integrating them all into One. This is a Well-Rounded Perspective.”
“Art is the Science of Showing others a Different Point of View. Expand their Mind. That is what the Artist is required to do.”
Without Art, we would all be close-minded.
