• The Tools you need to Do Art (Technique)
• Why you do Art (The Story)
• What you are doing when you study Art (The Theory)
• The Logical Sequence of your Journey (The Discipline Itself)

Wrong Words will throw you off your Journey. An Academic Discipline IS NOT A SUBJECT. The Student is the Subject! 

The Discipline is a TOOL for the Subject to use to Discover The Self Story in relativity to The Discipline’s Story.

Never forget that YOU are the Subject.

• Theory (Logic)
• Practice (Doing)
• Technique (Tools)
• Perform (Form)

If you are not using these four Concepts then you are not inside the Journey and you are not learning. The only way to learn Perspective, Optic Physics, Geometry, and Art is by DOING Art.

The Stages of Learning are Mimicry and a lot of it. Mimic the Masters. Try to replicate their Style and their Portraits. Try to get the colors and styles to match perfectly, only then will you discover the Tools they used to accomplish their craft. 

Find an Artist who you want to paint like and Mimic. Mimic until you Paint in your sleep. 

You are Training the Subconscious Mind to Integrate the Tuition (Knowledge) until it becomes your Intuition and then Common Sense.
