About Lesson

When at one point during the council a cardinal corrected Sigismund’s Latin, Sigismund replied Ego sum rex Romanus et super grammaticam (“I am king of the Romans and above grammar”).[20] Thomas Carlyle nicknamed Sigismund “Super Grammaticam”.[21][22] –Wikipedia

When cardinals realized, the situation was dire. They attempted to revive what little they could find and, the first of Universities began to return.

But they were shadows and remnants of what their predecessors had destroyed.

Even Charlemagne, the greatest of the Holy Roman Emperors, was illiterate.

What they found, what little they could piecemeal together in the Dark Ages would serve as the foundation for the US Educational System. But the Prejudism and hatred toward the Educated and Higher intelligent would continue right up into the Rise of The Mentally “Insane.”

Harmless Genius’ were incarcerated in Mental Homes by concerned, and thoroughly ignorant loved ones.

I will not delve deep into the maiming, abuse, and mutilation that took place there. I have done that research and it is grim.

A fear of the Mental Mind developed, which we see in the 1940’s when soldiers, returning home from WWII with PTSD, advised each other in secret, “Do not let them know. They’ll lock you up.”

And they did.
