“I see two sides,” answered the Student. “The North bank, and the South bank.”
The River smiled. “Why do you not ask The Earth why I cut into him?”
Inquisitive, the Student turned to the Earth. “Earth, why do you let the River cut into you? Carving you up and shaping you as you do?”
And the Earth smiled back and said, “The River does not cut me. The River conforms to the Earth, following my Natural Movements that Wind the Air, has shaped me into. It is River who fits me, and thus, River has smoothed out my edges and sculpted me into my True Form all without changing my Truth.”
